The 88' El Vato
The El Vato is a yachtfisher with five staterooms, a large salon and galley, a top level pilothouse and a crows nest steering station. Specs include 3,200 HP from twin CATs, 3,500 gallons of fuel, 400 gallons of water and twin Northern Lights gen sets at 40 kw each. Dimensions are 87'0" length, 22'0" beam and 5'0" draft.
From the California deck, enter the salon and you'll find built in seating areas to the left and right, with a large entertainment center in the forward starboard corner. Stairs to port provide access to the mid-ship full beam master stateroom, an aft guest stateroom, utility room and the forward engine room door. Two steps up into the galley area, there's a port side staircase to the pilothouse. The galley is on the starboard side and has a full cooktop, fridge, sink and dishwasher. Counter space doubles as a casual place to eat, where built-in seating creates a place to join the chefs or grab a bite. To port is a dining area with built-in seating. Stairs forward take you down to the other three staterooms. Up top, the pilothouse has two helm chairs, a raised seating area, a seating area with a table and an aft door to the boat deck.
As you enter the cockpit from either of two curved staircases from the boarding step, the fighting chair and twin live bait tanks demonstrate that El Vato is a fishing machine. Next to the bait tanks is a deck hatch that accesses the below deck fish freezer. And forward is a storage area for fishing equipment, a sink, and a hatch that covers the stairs to the rear engine room access. Stairs take you past a remote steering station and up to the California deck, where there's a table with built-in seating and chairs, a large barbeque, sink, Sub Zero fridge and a day head. Stairs accessing the boat deck are to starboard, leading to a 13.5' Nautica RIB, a hydraulic davit, a remote steering station, entryway to the pilothouse and stairs to the crow's nest control center.
